This policy explains what information Koala Coverage ("we") collects on koalacoverage.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • What you tell us in our questions: who you want to cover, date of birth, coverage interest, tobacco use, general health, state and ZIP code, and your contact preferences.
  • Your contact details: name, email and mobile number.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, the page you came from and campaign details (such as UTM tags) used to measure our advertising.
  • A record of the consent you gave, including the exact wording and time.

How we use it

  • To introduce you to one licensed insurance agent who can answer your questions and give you a quote.
  • To contact you about your request by call, text or email, as you agreed.
  • To run, secure and improve our website and measure how our ads perform.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Who we share it with

We share your request with one licensed insurance agent in our partner network. We do not sell or share it with call centers or other agents. We also use service providers (such as hosting and customer relationship tools) that process information on our behalf, and we may disclose information if required by law.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to count visits and see which pages work. We also use the Meta pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. These may set cookies and share limited information with Meta, such as the pages you view and, when you submit our form, hashed (scrambled) versions of your email, phone number, name and ZIP code. We never send your health, tobacco or age answers to Meta.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load the Meta pixel. You can also opt out on our Do not sell or share page.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts.
  • Ask us to stop contacting you, or to access, correct or delete your information, by emailing hello@koalacoverage.com.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information on our Do not sell or share page.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Children

Our service is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
